The event takes place at Dublin Castle, Ireland on 11th and 12th June 2013. The driving theme of the event is "Supporting Innovative SMEs in Their Ambition to Grow".
In the current economic climate the main challenge for the European Union is to provide conditions for smart, sustainable growth delivering jobs for Europeans. For small and medium-sized enterprises innovation is key to this.
EuroSME 2013 will bring together hundreds of entrepreneurs, policy makers and support organizations contributing their energy and ideas into how to improve the EU ecosystem for innovative enterprises. It will also introduce SME-specific measures under the EU's Horizon 2020 programme.
The conference will spotlight new trends shaping innovation in the 21st century, identify opportunities and challenges for SMEs seeking to exploit these trends, and highlight public and private support structures enabling SMEs to tap into the emerging growth opportunities.
EuroSME 2013 will feature speeches from Robert Jan Smits, EU General Director for Research and Innovation, and Sean Sherlock, TD (member of the Irish Parliament) Minister of State with responsibility for Research & Innovation.
