EMC2 at Greek Innovation Expo 2013!

EMC2 is delighted to announce that it will be an exhibitor at the Greek Innovation Expo 2013, which takes place at Helexpo Palace in the historic city of Athens on 16-19 May 2013. GIE 2013 provides a showcase for Greek and European innovation, enabling leading companies and researchers in technology and design to exhibit, meet and collaborate.

Participants in GIE 2013 will include representatives of major Greek and European companies, commercial research centres and university laboratories, also investors, financing institutions, incubators and business consultants.

The EMC2 exhibit will showcase leading-edge 3D technology research to thousands of international visitors at GIE 2013. In this way we aim to forge new research-industry partnerships for development and commercialisation of technology innovations. Managed by Lazaros Gymnopoulos of the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) and George Whale of Queen Mary, University of London, the EMC2 exhibit will include engaging posters and large-format displays of  products from the EMC2 Research Showcase.

In addition to showcasing research we will inform visitors of some of the innovative work our organisation has been doing in the area of entrepreneurship training for doctoral and post-doctoral researchers.

Interested companies will be invited to join the EMC2 network, enabling them to keep in touch with future technology research in the fast-changing field of 3D media computing and communication.

Greek Innovation Expo 2013 is supported by the Greek Ministry of Development and the General Secretariat for Research and Technology. It is designed to bring together individuals from Greek and international business, government and academia, and to help companies and researchers identify new investment, international trade and innovation opportunities through networking. Delegates to GIE 2013 can take advantage of a conference, workshops, exhibition and one-to-one meeting opportunities. Over the four days of the event, participants can share knowledge, access expert advice, showcase innovation and find collaborative partners.
